Earning points
We reward your practice based on how Apron is used across both your firm and your clients' accounts. If your clients are sending documents through Apron, making payments, or using cards, it all counts. The more Apron becomes part of the day-to-day, the faster you move up. Even a smaller client base can unlock top-tier perks.
How do I earn points?
Start by trialling all of Apron’s features in your own practice. It’s an easy way to earn your first 100 points.
Up to 100 points for your own firm’s account
Up to 50 points per client account
For example, if activity spans 10 clients and all point-earning actions, your practice will earn 500 points.
How are points calculated?
Action | Client account | Your firm’s account |
First document processed | 5 pts | 10 pts |
First payroll payment | 10 pts | 20 pts |
First expense card payment | 15 pts | 30 pts |
First bill payment | 20 pts | 40 pts |
Total possible points | 50 pts | 100 pts |
Key actions
First document processed – Upload your first document to Apron via any method. It doesn’t need to be published.
First payroll payment – Create, set up and complete a payroll payment. The money must be sent to the beneficiaries.
First expense card payment – Successfully make a payment with an Apron expense card.
First bill payment – Create, set up and complete a supplier payment. The money must be sent to the supplier.
Tiers
Your practice’s tier is automatically set based on the number of points you’ve earned. Here’s a breakdown of the tiers:
No of points | Partner Tier |
0 - 99 | New Partner |
100 - 499 | Silver |
500 - 1,999 | Gold |
2,000+ | Platinum |
To see what benefits apply to each tier, take a look at our article: Books Club benefits.
How to track my progress?
You can see your tier under in your Practice hub. Head to the Billing section to see how many points you need to reach the next tier.
What happens to my points if a client leaves my practice?
If one of your clients leaves your practice, your practice will lose the points you earned on their account. However, points earned from your firm’s own account or other active clients will remain unaffected.
