Assigning the right roles to the right team members keeps everything running smoothly, whilst keeping security tight and errors to a minimum. Let’s talk about organisation and productivity.

Practice Hub permissions

Practice hub Admin capabilities – Can invite clients, disconnect clients, view all clients, invite members, remove access, change roles, and manage Company plans and billing details.

Practice hub Member capabilities – Can view assigned clients and perform actions based on their client role. Can see all Practice hub Admins, but cannot see other members. Cannot view or access unassigned clients.

Managing your team

Monitoring team activity – Admins can view and access every client account connected with the practice, but must be assigned to a client to perform payments and bookkeeping actions.

Adjusting access – Add clients to team member accounts when you take on new business. Remove access when team members change roles or leave, and update permissions when responsibilities change.

Editing team member details – From the Team tab, click the three dots next to any team member to edit their details. You can also edit their Practice hub role, edit their default client role, or remove them from your practice.

Note: If a member wants to change the email address with which they log in, the best solution is to add them as a new member using their new, preferred email address.

Individual member management – Click on a team member's name to update permissions for multiple clients, update permissions for specific clients, remove the member from specific companies, or assign the member to new clients.

Best practices

Regular access reviews – Schedule quarterly reviews of team permissions to ensure they match current responsibilities and security requirements.

Clear communication – Keep team members informed about changes to client accounts, new features, or updates to your practice's processes.

Security considerations – Limit the number of Practice hub Admins and remove access immediately when team members leave.
