About client codes
If you use Apron as a Practice, you can add client codes to manage your client subscriptions more efficiently. Client codes are unique alphanumeric identifiers that help you organize and bill your clients with ease.
Client codes have a 50-character limit. Once added, they’ll appear in the Client code column of your monthly invoice breakdown reports (CSV), making it simple to identify which charges apply to which clients.
How to set up client codes
To add or edit client codes, you need the Practice Hub Admin role, which grants you access to Practice-level billing information. Check out the different Practice hub roles here.
Go to the Billing section of your Practice hub.
Find the client you wish to add a code for.
Select ‘Update client code’ from the three dots menu (visible on the right-hand side).
In the Client Code field, enter your preferred identifier for the client (up to 50 characters).
You can update these codes at any time, and they’ll be reflected in both future and past invoice breakdowns.
