Do you like to plan your payment runs ahead of time? Planned dates let you mark bills with the date you intend to pay them, so you can group your upcoming batches in advance.
How planned dates work
A planned date is the date you intend to pay a bill. Once you've set planned dates, you can filter your bills by the planned date to see everything you've lined up for a given day, and pay them together when the time comes.
To see planned dates, open the view settings in the Bills section and toggle the planned date column on. You can then set or change planned dates in two ways:
On a single bill – set or change the planned date directly on the bill
On several bills at once – tick the boxes next to the bills you want to update, then set the planned date from the action bar that appears at the bottom of the screen. The same date is applied to every selected bill.
Sync planned dates from Xero
If you’ve already set planned dates in Xero, you can pull them into Apron instead of managing them in both places. To enable this, go to Company settings, open Accounting app, and turn on syncing from Xero.
Once you sync:
Any dates you've previously set in Apron will be overwritten.
Planned dates in Apron will show the values set in Xero.
Planned dates become read-only in Apron; to change a date, update it in Xero.
