Here’s everything you can do to manage your virtual Expense Cards in the Apron mobile app:
See card details
Only the cardholder can view full card details.
To see them, tap the card in the ‘Cards’ section, then tap ‘See details’.
You’ll be able to view the card number, expiry date, CVC code and billing address.
Tap ‘Hide details’ when you’re done.
Add to Apple or Google Pay Wallet
Only the cardholder can add their card to a digital wallet.
Tap the card in the ‘Cards’ section, then tap ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ or ‘Add to Google Wallet’.
You’ll be redirected to add the card to your digital wallet.
View and edit card limits
All users (Admin/Owner, regardless of whether they’re the cardholder or not, as well as other roles who are the cardholder of a specific card) can view card limits, but only Admins and Owners can edit them.
To view limits, tap the card in the ‘Cards’ section and select ‘View limits’.
If you’re an Admin or Owner, you’ll also see the ‘Edit limits’ button.
You can update limits for:
Daily spend
Weekly spend
Monthly spend
One-time spend
You can lower the limit to below the amount already spent – in that case, the limit will be maxed out until the next period resets.
Freeze or unfreeze the card
Both Admins/Owners and cardholders (including Employees, Customs and Bookkeepers) can freeze and unfreeze cards.
To freeze a card, tap it in the ‘Cards’ section and select ‘Freeze card’.
The card will be marked as ‘Card is frozen’ in the list.
Tap on the frozen card again to unfreeze it.
Change the card name
Only Admins and Owners can change a card’s name.
Tap the card in the ‘Cards’ section, then go to ‘Settings’.
Choose ‘Edit card name’, enter a new name, and tap ‘Save’.
Note: You can’t change the cardholder of an existing card. If needed, you can terminate the current card and create a new one for someone else.
Terminate a card
Only Admins and Owners can terminate a card.
Tap the card in the ‘Cards’ section, go to ‘Settings’, and select ‘Terminate card’.
Confirm the action by tapping ‘Terminate’.
Once terminated:
The card disappears from the company’s Cards list.
If a cardholder is removed from a company, their card is automatically terminated.
If the company account is closed, all cards are automatically terminated.
