How to redeem your rewards

A step-by-step guide to redeeming your Apron Rewards points: transfer to our exclusive travel partners Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red for flights, hotels, cruises, and unforgettable experiences, or redeem for cash or Amazon vouchers.

Written by Zach Hewlin

Before you start

Apron Rewards uses two separate balances: personal points earned from the payments you make on Apron, and company points earned from spending with your Apron Card.

Anyone with permission to make payments on Apron can redeem from their own personal points. Any Admin or Owner can redeem from the company balance. Practice members can't earn or redeem from the balances of their connected clients.

Head to the Rewards page in the Apron web or mobile app to see your balances and redemption options. You can split points across different redemption types; there's no need to use them all in one go.

Transfer to Virgin Atlantic

Transfer your points straight into a Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account and turn them into flights to over 1,000 destinations worldwide. As one of our exclusive travel partners, every Apron Point converts 1:1 into Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points.

  1. Go to the Rewards page and select Transfer to Virgin Atlantic.

  2. Enter the Flying Club account number you'd like to transfer to. If you don't have a Flying Club account, you can create one for free at virginatlantic.com.

  4. Confirm, and your points will appear in the Flying Club account instantly.

When you transfer, we share your Flying Club account ID, your name, and the points amount with Virgin Atlantic so they can credit the points to your account.

What can points get me?

Virgin Atlantic uses dynamic pricing, so the number of points required varies depending on the route, date, and availability. Booking further in advance and travelling off-peak generally gets you the best value.

As a rough guide, economy flights between the UK and US can start from around 7,500 points one-way during off-peak periods, while business class (Upper Class) can start from around 30,000 points one-way.

Bear in mind that taxes, fees, and surcharges apply on top of the points cost and are paid in cash. These vary by route and cabin class. For up-to-date pricing, use the reward flight finder on the Virgin Atlantic website.

Good to know

  • There's no cap on how many points you can redeem or transfer.

  • Points don't expire as long as your Apron account is active. If we ever modify or end the programme, you'll have 90 days to redeem any remaining points.

  • You can mix and match: transfer some to Virgin and redeem the rest as cash or vouchers.

  • Once initiated, points transfers to Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Red are final and can't be reverted back to Apron.
