Set up and edit a subscription payment method

Learn how to add or change your payment method for Apron subscriptions.

You need to set up how you want to pay for your Apron subscription. It’s easy, and here’s how.

Payment methods available:

  • Direct Debit: Money comes out of your bank account automatically and can take up to 5 working days to show as completed in Apron.

  • Credit or Debit Card: Charged immediately, shows up right away, and works with most major card types.

How to set up your payment method

For new accounts, you'll be asked to set this up when you choose a paid plan. You can also add your payment method at any time under the Settings >Billing > Billing Details tab. Click on Setup payment method and provide the necessary details.

When the subscription payment happens

We automatically charge you during the first week of each month for the previous month's usage, including your monthly plan fee, any extra payments you made above your plan limits, and additional fees for international payments or card fees.

Managing your payment method

You can update your payment method by switching between Direct Debit and card payments, updating card details when they expire, or changing bank account information. You can also update your billing address, change contact details, modify company information, change where invoices are sent, and update your main billing contact.

To update your payment method, go to Settings, click on Billing, find the Billing details tab, click Change next to Payment method, choose your new method, enter your new details, and save changes. Your new payment method will be used for your next monthly payment.
