Apron subscriptions have two parts:

  • Your Practice plan (Capture) – Billed to your practice. Gives you access to your Practice hub, lets you link and manage clients centrally, and includes bookkeeping workflows like document capture and approvals.

  • Company plans (Go, Essential, Pro) – Assigned to your clients for payment features (Bill Pay, Payroll, Apron Card). Billed to clients by default, but you can choose to cover the costs - manage this anytime in Billing > Company plans.

When you add a new client, they're automatically added to your Capture plan and start on the free Go plan. You'll get a 31-day free trial when you add your first client, and can use Capture with as many clients as you want for free during this period.

Practice (Capture) plan pricing

  • Price: £5/month per client. Capped at £199/month for up to 200 clients (£1 per client beyond 200).

  • Payer: Always billed to your practice.

  • Features included: Practice hub for managing clients, capture (starting at 250 documents per client per month), approvals and bookkeeping tools.

Books Club discounts

Your Books Club tier determines the discounts applied to your subscription. As you and your clients use more of Apron, you earn points and unlock higher tiers with better savings. Learn more in Understand Apron Books Club and Learn about points and tiers.

Billing and payment

Monthly billing cycles – All subscriptions are billed monthly during the first week of each month for the previous month's usage.

Payment methods – Direct Debit, Credit/Debit Card. Change your payment method anytime in your billing settings.

Finding your invoices – Go to Billing in your Practice hub and open Invoice history to see all past invoices with dates, amounts, and payment status. We send your invoice to the email address in your practice billing details during the first week of each month.

Downloading invoices – Each invoice has download links for a PDF and a CSV. The PDF gives you a summary view, while the CSV includes detailed line items broken down by client.
