Your Practice (Capture) plan is your practice’s subscription to Apron. It gives you access to the Practice hub, lets you link and manage clients centrally, and includes core bookkeeping tools like document collection, approvals, and workflows.
When you add a client to your practice, they’re automatically included in your Practice (Capture) plan — so you can manage them seamlessly within Apron. You can add or remove clients from the plan at any time to stay in control of your costs.
This is separate from your clients’ own company plans (Go, Essential, or Pro), which cover payment tools and which are billed to them by default unless you choose to pay on their behalf.
Understanding the Practice (Capture) plan
What's included – Practice hub for managing clients, document collection and capture, approvals and bookkeeping tools, and at least 250 documents per client per month. Always billed to your practice.
Pricing structure – £5 per client per month, capped at £199/month for up to 200 clients, £1 per client beyond 200 clients.
How clients are added to your Practice (Capture) plan
Automatic addition – When you add a new client to your practice, they're automatically added to your Practice (Capture) plan. This ensures that they have access to document processing and Practice hub management.
Existing clients – Clients added before 1st May who weren't using invoice capture are included for free as part of the billing transition.
Managing your Practice (Capture) plan
Who can modify the plan – Only Practice hub Admins can add or remove companies from the Practice (Capture) plan and manage practice-level billing.
Books Club benefits – Apron Books Club is our rewards programme for partners and their clients. Your document allowances increase based on your Books Club tier:
New Partner: 250 documents per client
Silver: 400 documents per client
Gold: 500 documents per client
Platinum: Unlimited documents per client
Document processing and overages
Monthly allowances – Each client on your Practice (Capture) plan gets a monthly document allowance. Additional documents are charged at £0.01 per document.
Client removal
To remove a client from your Practice, go to the Clients section and choose Remove client from the three dots menu next to their name. Once the client is removed, they’ll be unlinked from your practice, and they’ll no longer be included in your Practice (Capture) plan.
When to remove clients – You no longer want to manage the client’s account, or the client has moved to a different practice.
