Add, edit, and delete contacts

Manage your supplier and customer contacts in Apron, including bulk imports and editing details.

Your contacts are stored under Settings > Contacts. If you've linked Xero or QuickBooks, contacts imported from your accounting software will appear here automatically.

Adding contacts in bulk

You can add contacts one at a time using +Add contact, or import multiple contacts at once:

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts

  2. Click +Add contact

  3. Select Import contacts and download the CSV template

  4. Fill in the template and upload it (maximum 2 MB)

Each contact must have a unique name. If a contact with the same name already exists, you'll need to update the existing contact rather than creating a new one.

Editing a contact

To update a contact's details, click on their name in the Contacts tab and edit the information directly.

Deleting a contact

How you delete a contact depends on where it came from:

  • Contacts synced from Xero or QuickBooks – delete the contact in your accounting software. It'll automatically disappear from Apron.

  • Contacts created in Apron – delete them directly under Settings > Contacts, whether or not you have accounting software linked.

Good to know

  • Phone numbers can't be stored on contacts.

  • It's not possible to export contact information from Apron.

  • It's not possible to save a payment reference for a contact. The payment reference needs to be added manually each time.
