Choose your account type

Understand the different Apron account options and choose the right one for your business.

Apron offers different account types depending on your business needs and what features you want to use.

  • Practice account – If you're a member of an accounting practice or a bookkeeper, you can open a Practice account. You'll be able to use the account for your own practice, while also adding and managing AP for your clients.

  • Business account – As a company owner or member, you can open a Business account. You can add additional companies, as well, bringing all of your spending and expenses together in one place.

Which entity types are supported?

During onboarding, you'll select your specific entity type.

For Business accounts:

  • Company

  • Sole trader

  • Charity

For Practice accounts:

  • Company

  • Sole trader

Can I use Apron as an individual?

Yes. Apron supports sole traders using the platform for business activities.

Not sure if you're a sole trader or a company?

Company includes:

  • Limited companies (e.g. Ltd, PLC)

  • Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs)

Sole trader includes:

  • Sole trader

  • Partnership (general partnerships)
