Need to get your bank statements into the right format for your accounting software? Apron's converter transforms your statements into CSV files that work seamlessly with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other platforms.

How to convert a bank statement

  1. Go to the Converter section under your Practice hub.

  2. Select the company or client you want to upload a bank statement for.

  3. Click the Upload bank statements button in the top-right corner.

  4. Choose the bank account or card to which the statement relates. If the account or card isn't added to Apron yet, you can add it now.

  5. Upload your file – either drag and drop it, or browse your device.

See our article: Find supported file types and formats to see supported file types and size limits.

  6. Once uploaded, the conversion usually takes up to 15 minutes.

What you can do with the converted file

Once the file's ready, you'll find it under the Converter section for that company or client. From there, you can:

  • View or download the original file.

  • Delete the document by clicking the three dots next to it and selecting Delete permanently

  • Export the file in one of the following formats:

    • Default CSV

    • Xero CSV

    • QuickBooks Online CSV

    • Sage CSV

You can then upload the converted file to your accounting software for seamless integration with your bookkeeping workflow.
