File types we accept
You can submit the following file types to Apron: PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, TXT, GIF, HEIC, XLSX, MSG, DOCX, PAGES.
You can also upload ZIP archives containing the file types listed above.
When uploading a ZIP or PDF containing multiple documents, our system will automatically split them into individual bills, receipts, or credit notes. Find more details in our article: Check how we handle multi-document PDFs.
Size limits
File size – up to 25 MB per file (excl. ZIP)
PDF – Up to 200 pages per document
ZIP – Up to 100 files in a single ZIP archive, up to 100 MB per ZIP archive
Xero connected – up to 10 MB per file (Xero’s limit). To reduce a larger file, compress it with an external tool
When you forward documents by email, forward each email individually rather than attaching .eml files, as these aren’t supported. Find more details in our article: Forward bills by email in one step.
Note: If you upload large files or several files at once, they may take a few minutes to process and appear in Apron.
